Dear Sir/Madam,

2007 -  Is this the REIT way forward? - Real Estate Investment Trusts

Real Estate Investment Trusts have been heralded as a watershed in UK property investment. As from 1 January the public will be able to invest directly into quoted companies who deal with commercial property investment. This means two things for a property investor:

  • Benefit from tax advantages given by Gordon Brown
  • To be able to spread the investment and risk over a portfolio this may not otherwise be possible.

Help for IFA’s

Independent research has apparently shown that knowledge of REITs and their benefits is quite low amongst financial advisers so you will be interested in logging on to the site below * which we feel sure you will find a useful resource and a basis for further research.

Where do valuation surveyors fit in?

Of course there will still be those investors who want to invest in individual or small property portfolios even if they do not get the same tax breaks as investing in REITs.

So whilst we are sure you will benefit from the resource information in the link we would still look to you to source those interested in seeking and purchasing commercial investments whether they are fully let or are to be partly owner occupied.

We can use our skills in finding the particular investment to suit the need and negotiate the deal to the best advantage of the client.

We look forward to hearing from you – Have a great 2007
